I recently bought a GG-4x programmer (GQ-4x4 to be exact) and it worked fine for 2 days.
Windows had updates and I installed those like I usually would but after a restart nothing worked anymore so I had to reinstall windows 7 (64bit).
All updates installed, everything works well.

I plugged in GQ-4X programmer and it does 2x beep sound and LED active in middle (ON)
No device was found, no device in list making it impossible to install drivers.
I used Windows FixIt Tool and for a short time the programmer was detected and I installed the driver, which got removed again shortly making it impossible to use.

I tried all USB ports, neither detects the programmer or lists it in device manager.

I tried another computer, same problem.

I'm feeling my GQ-4X is dead?

No.

Already removed the jumper and no programmer was detected.

IF I would replace the CY7C68013A, do I need to program anything for it or will windows detect the new one?

Try:

removed the jumper and then connect USB cable.

If still does not work, then you need to send it back for the replacement.

Change the CY7C68013A may work, but not sure since we do not know the exact problem is.

Already tried other cable, doesn't work. I removed the jumper that is on the board and it doesn't get detected either. I guess the CY7C68013A chip that's on it is defective. Can I just replace it with another one or won't it work? Any other idea what could be wrong?

All diodes measure 1k ohm or 220 ohm so they're all fine and working.
Resistors are measuring the right values, too.
LMS1117 works, too. 5V in, 3.3V out.

I seems the programmer has a problem on USB communication. Change to another USB cable and see if it works.
