ZLM, is there a way to check the status of a "New device/chip support request" fonction in the GQ-4X software?

Yes, like different ID or chip number from different manufacturer.

That is a good idea. But that only works when "new device" is compatible with existing adapter, pin out and algorithm.

End users have no way to look at those? I suspect many users can add some chips easily. Maybe an "add a new device" button could also be added?

There is no 100% guarantee all requests are valid. However, those information will be collected and do a study periodically.
