Is it possible to program AT29C1024 with USB programmer?

Seems that none of Willem-based programmers list AT29C1024 - is this because it is 16-bit?

This 16 bit chip need a special adapter to handle it. But no adapter available yet.

So, it's been 9 years since this was first posted but I find myself in the OPs same situation.

Has any way been found to read this IC?
