I'm getting pieces, and I'm getting little by little. Now I have received an adapter-056 for willem, because it has outputs for jtag, icsp and spi. As I understand it, this adapter is good for working with circuits.
I'm looking for information on how it works, but I can not find it. I need to know if it works with another program other than willem or if it works with the same software.
I want to connect willem, to routers by jtag, or if you can use the icsp to program by serial?
Similarly, I would like to access the motherboards by jtag, icsp or spi, to reprogram onboard chips, such as:
H81mc motherboard: ASMEDIA asm1083 Nuvoton nct6779d ALCBB7 REALTEK RTL8111G (this important for me, the chip lan, have 64 pins)
On this motherboard, I have an SPI port, where the bios chip goes, has a 9 pin COM port, and parallel port.
AV8 motherboard: RTL8201CL (another red lan chip) RTM 866-895 WINBOND W83627EHG-A VIA VT8237A ALC 660
In this motherboard, it has lpc port bios 32 pins, parallel port, serial port.
What I would like to do, apart from trying to flash routers by jtag or serial port, is to access the LAN chips, the REALTEK RTL8111G and the RTL8201CL. Willem accepts realtek chips on devices?
If you can tell me the way to program lan realtek chips. In short, I'm more lost than robinson crusoe.
Greetings. |

Yes, ADP-056 is good for working with chips in circuit and it uses the same software you normally use. Neither the RTL8111 nor the RTL8201 have something to program onboard but the RTL8111 has an external EEPROM. |

The two motherboards, have bios chip, one lpc 32 pins (av8), and the other spi 8 pins(h81m-c).
But the REALTEK RTL8111G and the RTL8201CL chips have motherboard utilities to flash them in msdos, but the programs do not work or anything, so I figured I could access them with willem, maybe jtag, or maybe serial port .
I have gotten the datasheet of the chip rtl8201cl, and I see the denominations of the pins, and that can be accessed by several interfaces, among them serial I think, but I do not know if I can use willem with jtag, or icsp:
Comment, that the RTL8111G chip has an external eeprom, will not be the bios ?? The bios, if I can program it, but it is modified when restarting the motherboard.
So, what chips can I actually access with willem on these motherboards ?? I thought that I could add in devices these chips that I named in the previous message, especially the lan chips, the graphics, the chipset, etc.
In order for you to understand me, I have something bad in the lan chips, (or somewhere else, which is not the bios) and I can not remove it in any way, so I was hoping to do something with willem.
Anyway, I'm very new with all this, without finding information is very difficult. The datasheet of the RTL8111G chip can not find it, I only find the RTL8111 but it is different from the G.
I am all ears what you say to me, I am very grateful.
Thank you very much.

You can't modify the internal memory of the RTL8111G, it is OTP. Only the external EEPROM (93C46 or 93C56)can be modified. |

OK, I did not know, you're right it looks like it's OTP, according to the realtek page. I already tell you that with special tools for the motherboard, I can not change the MAC or modify data, I do not understand, why, when are ready for it.
I have been looking for the chips that you mention 93C46 or 93C56, but on the board h81m-c are not these chips, I have seen these with 8 pins: but I think they are voltage regulators the two if I am not mistaken ... GS3585 RT9045
Then there's another UTC-RTTC 75232G chip, which is rectangular long with quite a few pins, which I do not know is.
Well, I do not know, apparently, I'm going to have to go looking chip-to-chip which is every thing.
On the other plate I have not seen if the chips you mentioned appear, I have to look, but I think they are not either.
Greetings. |

Why would he need to modify the MAC? Aren't those hardcoded and unique? |

Mabe to clone the MAC of another device. You can then access closed networks... Unique, yes they are supposed to be. Hard-coded, it depends on the device. |

Isn't this the technique the CIA uses as revealed by WikiLeaks? |

So why would he need to modify the MAC other than being a spy? |

Or someone who doesn't really know what he wants to achieve. |
