Why can't you register with a username beginning with the letter 'a'?
Is there a reason for it?

It sure is. You get a message (when you try to register) saying:

Invailid user name!
Click Back button to correct.
Try to not use 'a' and 'A' as first char.

My name/username does not start with A so the rule does not affect me, but this is strange. There must be some solid reason behind it, as I've not seen this rule anywhere else.
