I have a chip, XC9572XL that is encrypted. I am trying to do a repair on a board, I redesigned the board, but this chip is encrypted and I am unable to get the information off so I can put it on to a different type of chip. Does anyone know how to do this and or do it? Thanks |

If it's for a redesign, the simplest and fastest way is to use a logic analyzer but for a limited budget you can also use decapping... |

How did you manage to redesign the board?
For a good logic analyzer look at Keysight, Tektronix or Rohde & Schwarz.
Every major sellers also offer rentals for much less if it's a one of project. |

Basically all I want to do is take the code that is on the current chip, and burn it onto a new chip. No idea what that logic analyzer or anything is. But when you try and read the chip it states it is protected. |

Yes to extract the code you need a logic analyzer or de-capping, if you are not familiar with those procedures you may be better off giving this task to an expert. |

Yeah no one does illegal things like that other than China, Russia and some other hazardous countries. Highly probable they take the money and run. |
