Hi, Iīve some 28F102īs here which I can`t delete with GQ4X. Used with ADP054. Writing is no problem.
On standard speed it will go to 50%. If I reduce speed it goes to 100%, but wonīt response anymore then and chips are still not deleted.
(run program "as admin" and compatibilition mode wonīt make a difference).
Any suggestions? Itīs really urgent |

It was 7.07. (its a GQ4x4) I removed driver, installed 3.0 from downloadpage and Software 7.11,but problem seem to remain. Hangs on 100% and chip not erased.
I use Win 7 32bit. Question: I installed Gq4x4 USB Driver 3.0 Win 7 32 bit: Am I right that 3.0 is Version-Number from this driver , or am I wrong and it is only for USB3.0?
Edit, one question more: My ADP054 has two Jumper (J1 and J5). I tried all combinations (1-1/1-2/2-1/2-2 and to be sure I tried 0-1/1-0/0-0/2-0 and 0-2 too) The Right one is J1 on 2-3 (2) an J5 on V4 (2), or is this wrong? |

I now repaired my older GQ3X (74HC245N was faulty) installed SW 6.38 on my other Laptop and was able to delete them (only on Speed -2).
So its not really urgent any more and I can also tell that my ADP054 is okay.
Only on GQ4x4 deleting is absolutley not possible. Bar goes to 100% and all LEDīs stay on.
A solution would be great |

Bought newest GQ4x4 withe 054 adapter still not working to erase M28F102 or CAT28F102. Really sad not to be able over the years to fix the problem. |

The person is question has the same problem which there is a recent thread about. The issue with the chip was reported back in 2017 which is the year the first post made. It is now 2020 and the issue has not been fixed. No one from the company has even acknowledge that there is an issue with the gq-4x4 programmer with regards to the 28F102 chip. Hence why the poster made the very negative post.
You do have to admit anniel that no one from the company seems interested in the forum anymore and as such, customers are getting very annoyed, and rightly so in my opinion. |

You are right but for long time known working chips like this the best that could be done is ask to send the chip in to look for inconsistencies. Also ask for adapter or programmer if those are suspected. |

Prior to erasing, try to write chip with bin filled with 00's. So: 1. Write non empty chip with bin filled with 00's. 2. Erase. 3. Write proper bin.
It's working for me 100% of time with M28F102. |

You are right and the M28F102 seems like a difficult device for fake/defective/damaged chips. |

Just did a few tests. Chip burned with random values generated by HxD erases standard way with no problem. Very same chip burned with car ECU bin, which contains long blocks of FF-s at the begining, can be erased only using 00-s trick. Do you think it's chips fault, or the programmer algorithm considers long block of FF-s as empty chip and cancels erase process? Serious question, I'm just hobbyist and have no clue. |

No, FF-s stay as they were. Other values are changing with every erase attempt.

VCC is 5.2V during read/write/erase and VPP is 12.2V write/erase. No drops no spikes, but I have only cheap, slow chinese multimeter, so it may not be very accurate measurement. |
