Hello does anyone know where I can obtain help or download files to be able to read this particular chip. In my GQ-4X4 I do not have this chip listed. I only have N28F010 and N28F020. I have tried to read it to no avail.
Can I use the N28F010 to read N28F001 PLCC chips? I tried reading a N28F001 with N28F010 and as I said it didn't read anything. A friend mentioned there may be a difference between 512 and 1024.. Anyone have any tips or help for me?? I could possibly have the wrong adapter. They sent me one that says PLCC32-EP1M on the bottom of the adapter opposed to PLCC32 TO DIP32
I also have another question... the orientation of the adapter.. The photo in the programmer shows the adapter at the bottom of the ZIFF socket and not plugged in at the top starting at pin 1. ??? I'm so confused...

My apologies.... I found the correct orientation. I'm sorry if I sound uneducated about the chip that's why I came here. I do have it properly in the socket now with the correct adapter. Still unable to read it. I cannot find the chip file for this Intel N28F001. There is a N28F010*PLCC32 but that one does not work unfortunately.

Sorry I thought you were asking about the programmer.. The adapter actually is one I had from stuff I had. I used to use a Willem reader but it's been years and I am used to regular EEPROMS... not these PLCC Flash Chips.

I think I found what I need.. I see a 4.7 resistor is required for this chip on the adapter board, and also a pin cut. So I did that and I have the chip and the adapter configured properly according to the photo from the device log.
I just cannot locate the "PLCC" device in the GQ-4X4 programmer. I can find a regular 32 pin chip device.. I cannot find 28F001BX-T*PLCC32

Where did you found the info? Could be useful to someone else.
