Does it ever cause a problem to have a faster EPROM than required?
Say a device uses 27C256-200 and you use 27C256-100. Could this ever be a problem or is it always ok?

27C256-100 can always replace the 27C256-200 without problem. But 27C256-200 may have problem when replacing the 27C256-100. It depends on the circuit speed running.
