Hi,
I have PRG-026 USB AVR DebugWIRE ICE+AVRISP MKII. AVR Studio detecting it as JTAGICE MkII, and don`t allowing me to select
Atmega8 from dropdown meniu (I don`t see Atmega8 here). Itryed to flash programmer from DebugWIRE+JTAG MKII ISP programmer\update_Firmware folder, but problem is still.
Any help or ideas are welcome.

Hi ZLM,
At Atmel.com I saw that JTAG can`t to program mega8. But in MCUmall description of AVR DebugWIRE ICE+AVRISP MKII (actually it shold to be DebugWIRE ICE+JTAG MK2) was writed that it yes can do it...

Tried on Atmega8. It is not in the device list.
HoweverI succefully programmed it by select Atmega88.

But the fuse bit name you need to check the datasheet to do a conversion.

The description is revised.

Thank you for help ZLM. Yes, it seems to be that M8 can be programed as M88 . I`m not tested it for eprom read/write, but flash read/write is working good.
