Trying to program an AMD 27C256, but when I try to "Load" a HEX file I get the message in the subject line.

I looked at a thread that mentions the same message, but it is not the same situation. And that thread never seems to present a solution.

I can check to see if the EPROM is blank and that seems to work fine. I'm afraid I don't understand the "offset" choices menu!

What is the actual size of your file?

The HEX file I'm trying to load is 19K. The 27C256 is a 32K device correct? Seems it would be OK.

I tried to reproduce your problem with an undersized hex to no avail. Upload your file please.
