received today my gq-4x
after a couple of problems I mangaed to set it up and tried to play around with a HN27C4096G-12
a) the picture says adapter needed, but the eprom is 40 pin and fits the programmer, why?
b) can't do anything except reading, it's because it's not well erased?

a), The 27C4096 needs 16 bit EPROM adapter. The GQ-4X is Willem family programmer, so it ueses Willem adapters.
b), The reading is not correct without a correct adapter.
So, one of the following adapter is needed:
