I bought the programmer GQ3X several tests with several chips can only read not write off or can I do to test the programmer?

What chip you tried to write?
What the exact error message you got?

Set the adapter jumpers to VCC 3.6V and 29FX00 position.
ID check failed.

Did you see the user guide of SST29VF3201 in CD? It has same settings with SST39VF1601.

reading OK, erase OK. Write only 16% Flash 16-bit everything checked and tested error during recording

If your chip ID is correct and it is confirmed that the chip can be erased correctly. Then the chip may be defective. Change to another chip and try.
