I need decode ECU with st95p08, I select st95p08 device read / write files ok (all ok on the car), if I write the same file with st95080, the key code is ok but the car does not start, in fact, if I read the file writen on the 95080 with device 95p08, the file is not complete, missing the final piece that the ECU accesses the software. I am attaching photos to learn more. I tried to read / write file on m95080 with device m95080 is ok but the car will not start!

reading datasheet 95080 and 95p08, there is a different from two ics: 95p08 is only 8bit and 95080 is 16bit, the file is make to 8bit: What should I do to force the writing of 8-bit on the 95080? |

do a Byte Swap and then write to 95080. Click on A<->B button will do byte swap. |

I tried a byte swap, I tried with 95080w/r (and swap byte),I tried as you said but no work, the car key is ok but car not start, if you look at the datasheet, you see that the two ICs are a bit different, you have to do a custom driver for 95080 only 8bit, with 16 byte page size, number of address bytes 1,the files written with 95080 must be identical read with 95p08,so sure that works well!!!

I think you can not use 95080 to replace the 95P08.
The READ instructions are different. That means the 95080 chip will not be read correctly in your car ECU.

you have right but ST does not provide more this ic and it is replaced with 95080: Do you know a chip (replacement) 100% compatible with 95p08?
thanks. |

The byte swap is used to swap hi-byte and lo-byte in buffer. This feature is useful if your chip is 16 bit chip but the hi-low byte used a different standard. |
