Purchased my legit GQ-4x back in 2013 and NEVER had a problem. Plugged it into the same CPU I have always used it in and the software hangs and hangs. Tried it in 3 other computers with 3 other operating systems. Tried all program and driver versions. Had to send the unit back and pay $35.00 to have it "Serviced". I am wondering if there was a "kill code" flashed to the unit when it phoned home to GQ Electronics LLC during startup as a security measure to combat Clone hardware? If so why should I pay for the firmware flash? GQ Electronics LLC will not explain to me what happened to my hardware.
