Hello i've already tried emailing support which didn't seem to be very helpful. I already own the GQ-4X USB programmer and i have been really pleased with it. The unit served me well for all kinds of EEPROMS, laptop BIOS chips etc.
I am now seeking to buy something that will cater for the NAND and EMMC chips you tend to find in ultra portable netbooks/laptops, smart phones and TV's etc. It's important for me that i get a programmer that can do both EMMC and NAND chips. Could anyone speak up who knows a bit about the "GQ-5X" units and let me know if it's likely to work with EMMC's and NAND's? What is the support like? Does adding custom chips to the software really work that well? I'm not too bothered if i have to hunt around for adapters to suit the chips i may be using. Maybe i can even just solder some jumper wires if it's a chip that doesn't have an adapter available.
Since i have had good experiences with the GX-4X i'd like to keep with MCUMall as it's been very reliable, but at the moment the chinese RT809H i see floating around on the internet seems to have a lot more documented features than the GQ-5X...

I have the rt809h, if you can read emmc on the same board connecting only 4 cables.I do not probe with sockets For the nand I prefer the gq5x, it's 50% faster, and you can add your own chip. in the rt809h you can also add chip but it does not convince me, the way to do it. I hope you understand me, I'm using google traslate

I do not know what the limit is, but for TV it is good, no have bad blocks detection. |

How does it manage bad blocks if it has no detection? |

I expressed wrong, has auto nand function. if it detects bad blocks, but it does not skip these |
