I am burning 27c2001 EPROMs. There is space to double write. Should I do it? What is the purpose of double writing?

It charges the memory cells more strongly but takes more time.

Thanks. What effect does it have? More reliable EPROMs?

Yes. It ensures the proper voltage shift occurs at each gate.
