I recently brought a TOP 2005 and was having loads of problems with it until i downloaded the re written software from jochen müller and it worked stright off thanks , but the only eprom i cannot burn is the 2716 eprom, all i get is this error: 000000:Error! (file=00,chip=ff)

I was wondering if someone might be able to help?

Thanks

Most likely the programmer does not provide enough Vpp voltage.

make sure you have selected the correct Vpp device type.

Like 2716(25V).

I tried all of the power setting but no luck, i can read data ok from a 2716 but i guess this requires a lot less power. Its a real strange fault ive tried it on other PC's running win xp and a win98se machine just as a process of illimination. I also shortend the USB cable and i now get a power rating of 10
