Hello everybody! This is my first post and I am sorry to start it with one problem rather than one solution.
I am a newbie in bios programming and I bought a Willem programmer 3 weeks ago from MCUmall and today I wanted to use it for the first time. I plugged the programmer to the pc, inserted the CD and install the program. What is happening is that when I am trying to open the program it says “USB read failed. Error #=87. You need restart the software and hardware” and it also says “USB device error in USB write thread “,” USB connection lost! Please replug the USB cable again", "Hardware out of synched! Please reconnect the programmer “again, again and again.....
When it stops I can read from the message board:
Ready
Not initialized.
Initialization failed.Pls. reconnect.

Please can someone help me? If it is broken let me know so I can contact MCumall for an exchange or refund.
Thanks for your help.

Hi m8! Same problem with the original cable, and sometimes I have the message " did not get response from programmer " I think I will just contact mcumall for a replacement as I need it asap. I think I should give up and thanks for your help.

Thanks for your reply m8! My PC is running WinXP HE sp2, and I did try it on my laptop as well, but still have the same problem. For the original cable may be I did make a confusion with the printer cable and that is what I am going to check now and let you know. Once again thanks for your suggestions.

1. What is your Windows version?
2.Did you use original USB cable?
Try to use good USB cable, such as USB 2.0 cable with 28AWG+24AWG gauge code on the cable.

Also, try on another computer if possible.
