I am an owner of the GQ-2X programmer and previously had no problems with it. However tonight when I booted my PC, my anti-virus (AVG Free 8.0) reported that the Uninstall.exe contains a Trojan horse BackDoor.Generic9.AXDA !?! Is this because the programmer software has the ability to update itself? It was a while ago I ran the actual software though.

Is this considered a false alarm by AVG, or may my computer really have been infected and the GQ-USB software was affected?

It is false alarm. Basically the GQUSB.exe software has no problem one installed.

Also, you can download the latest software from http://download.mcumall.com
