Hi All
Trying my new GQ-4X with the latest software (downloaded today).
When initialising the programmer it goes to the blue screen of death.
Error with dfrusb.sys

Any ideas?
System is XP SP2.
Regards
Paul

It seems your computer has another confilict USB driver "dfrusb.sys".
The correct GQ USB Programmer driver is not loaded. The "dfrusb.sys" is not the driver for the programmer. It is for "USB Fingerprint Reader".

Try to reinstall the programmer driver:
1. Connect the programmer only. (Do not run the software)
2. From the computer device manager, from the device list find out the wrong device loaded click on the property to reinstalle/update the driver.
3. when update the driver, point to the directory C:\Program Files\GQ USB Programmer for correct driver.

OR

after uninstall the incorrect driver, remove the "dfrusb.ini" and "dfrusb.pnf" files. Once programmer driver correctly loaded, you can move back those files.
