hi
first sorry for my bad english , i'm french .
i have buy recently the true usb willem programmer after have no sucess and same problem with the pcb 4.5 .
i'm tried to read/write an st m27C512 plcc32 eprom .
i want to do this :
* read original file on my 27C512
* after modify it write a blank 27C512
so i put the first on the plcc32 to dip32 adapter they give me with the willem , launch usbprg , select the right device (M27C512) .
after that i'm click on read and get this error (id check failed , please check device type orientation etc...).
my device is correct and orientation too so i click on yes ton continue .
it start to read and i get only 08 08 08.....
i try with blanck chip and same result .
if i make a blanck check it says no blank , the blank chip i have are brand new and i have about 10 , try with other same result .
what can i do to resolve this issue ?
same problem on true usb or // 4.5 pcb
does willem realy support plcc32 M27C512 or only dip32 27C512 ?

i have received the plcc32 to dip28 instead of plcc32to dip32 and now 27C512 plcc32 works great .

The 27C512 is using PLCC32-DIP28 adapter, not the PLCC32-DIP32 adapter.

i have test with other chip in plcc32 and they work , i just have this issue with 27C512 plcc32 chip .
so i don't think is the way i put the chip , but a incompatibility between 27C512 plcc32 and willem .
does anyone have rn those chip with the willem , 27C512 plcc32 ? |

If you are using a simple socket adapter, then you may need to confirm the contacting on all pins between chip and adapter.
One trick is not pushing the chip too deep in the socket bottom, just barely put the chip in the PLCC socket for better pin contacting. |

you sure adapter is in programmer correctly, and the chip is in adapter correctly?
sounds to me like one is installed backwards. |

Are you waiting until after the program starts fully before inserting the chip/scriptdaptor? |
