The programming time for a 24AA1025 takes about 5 mins.

24AA1025 = 128K byte / 1page = 128byte / Pagewrite time = 3ms

So actually total programming time could be

128K
------ * 0.003 = 3 secs
128

I may be wrong but 5 mins opposed to 3 secs is very long.

Also programming PICS works faster on my old RS232 JDM programmer
than on my USB GQ4 even with verify on , on my JDM.

Can something be done for programming times to work faster?

Busterk,

They've addressed this issue, finally. It's nowhere near 3 seconds for a 24LC512 but it takes about 30-40 seconds now instead of around 4 mins and 30 seconds.

I think it could still be faster but it's a big step in the right direction, it's quite usable now.
