I am trying to program two AM27C1024 chips with a GQ-4X 1.30. I have USB driver 2.0 and software 4.03.

Both of these chips constantly fail verification at different locations. I run a blank check, then write, then verify. I have tried different write speeds and using "double write" but nothing seems to help. I also have tried with an external power supply.

What can I do to get this working?

It could be the chip problem. Try other brand new chips.

A little extra info. I can program a NMC27C512AQ-150 that doesn't need the adapter just fine.

I guess these 27C1024s could just be bad chips but I find it odd that both of them would be defective.
