Hi, recently i've tried to read a 27c301 made by hitachi and i recieve a warning/error message wich says that i should place a jumper wire between an adress header from the inside of the burner to a certain pin of the ZIF socket. I've opened the burner but i haven't seen such adress header. ¿How can i dump/read this rom? I did a quick search with google and found that a 27c301 is just a 27c1001 but with oe swapped with an adress pin. I looked the datasheets from both chips but they seem identical to me :? I also used the forum's search function but with got nothing that i already i didn't know...

Hi, at last it didn't work they way you told me and i had to use A23 because i was getting an overdump (the last 64KB were the same as the first 64KB) I don't know if there was anything i wasn't doing properly but after using A23 it worked.

zlm Hi you seem to have this adapter Universal Programmer Adapter to make the necessary bridges and to protect the programmer ZIF socket to avoid damage to the socket contacts this is a suggestion to protect the product as it is excellent and very good do not you think zlm desde ya gracias

hi, just tested it and it works fine so thanks for your help :)

p.d i also had a look inside the programmer and i've also found out why i didn't find the header: i was looking for a header with at least 23 pins

Yes.

thanks for your reply :)

Does that mean that the only thing i have to do is to place a wire jump between zif socket pin 2 and the other zif socket pin wich is named in the error/warning message?

p.d right now i'm not at home so i can't check that :(

If you already open the cover of GQ-4X, then you can find the 8 pin address header.

You do not have to open the cover to use A23. The GQ-4X mapped the A23 on the ZIF socket pin 2.
