Hi all at MCUmall forums,

I've recently purchased a GQ-4X programmer and the TSOP48 16bit adapter v2.0 so i could program a Intel TE28f160 C3B flash.
I can read the flash with no problems but i am unable to erase or write to the flash, if i try to write i get "Write failed adress 0x000001"
and if i try to erase the flash the progress bar goes to 100% but just stays at that and i have to close to progress window window to carry on.

I have the jumpers set right as shown on the pcb and the voltage set to 3v.
Device ID reads ok as i get "Device ID 8988c3" "Manufacture Intel" and "Type TE28f160 C3B"

Can any one help resolve my problem,

Thanks in advance,
seastwood...

The chip maybe locked.

If the chip lock register been set, then the chip no longer be able to erase. The lock bit permanent once it is set. No programmer can erase that bit.

Please read datasheet for more information.
