I have a GQ-4X programmer. When I start the program, it starts normally. When I connect the programmer, a program hangs permanently, until programmer is disconnected. When it is disconnected, I get this error message:

I am using Windows 7 Enterprise x64. Everything works fine on my laptop running same version of windows, only x86.
If I recall it correctly, this started when I updated system drivers. Now driver/software updates do not fix the problem.

Any solutions?

You may want to try different settings on your USB controller from your windows device manager, or BIOS settings. But I never has this problem and this is just a thought.

Yes, I've connected it via USB hub and it works fine. Can you recommend something I could do to be able to use it without the hub?

It may be related to the motherboard USB controller hardware. To test this, connect the programmer via a USB hub.

The problem is that it works fine on other computer. Problems with this computer started when it's motherboard was replaced (without reinstalling OS). Everything else (webcams, printers, cameras, scaners, other programmers, etc.) works fine, but this one fails.

If it always do the same, then the programmer need to be checked. Write to support@mcumall.com for sending back RMA.

It always does that, I've tried a few cables and USB ports - no results.

Most of time it just need to reconnect the programmer again.

Change to another USB cable/port and try again.
