I'm interested in buying the GQ-4X EPROM programmer, however since I do most of my development in Linux, I would very much like to avoid rebooting my machine into Windows for each use of the programmer.
So I would like to know if GQ-4X and its software GQUSBprog can be used under virtualization software like qemu, virtualbox or vmware.
In theory these systems should allow the use of the USB programmer inside a virtualized Windows OS, but only if it does not use the isochronous (real-time) transfer mode of the USB bus.
Has anyone tried GQUSBprog under virtualization and is isochronous mode required or not?
Thanks for your answer
