Hello to all.

I have a GQ-4X programmer Re: 1.40

I also recently bought an ADP-003 v2.0 adapter to write/program the chip of the topic's title.

My problem is that I think the chip is not read correctly. I concluded to that because the chip is almost empty, and there is no "copyright" in the beginning of the binary of the manufacturer (Kenwood) who programmed the chip to use it in their device (an automotive 2-din display).

The chip itself is identified as ID 04DA, though there is no entry for this ID in devices.txt.

Now, about my setup: J1 is jumpered to 5V like the program advised me, J2 is set to 29F, and J3 is totally removed as from what I understand there is no need for the extra databus lines for this version of adapter and programmer.

Where can the fault (if actually any) can lie?

I attach an image of my adapter and chip, and a link to the bin file of the chip's contents.

What do you think guys?

And the file: h**p://www.compuware.gr/kenwood.bin

The chip ID should be "1CDA"

Check your chip pin contacting with the adapter.

check the checksum and it should stay same every read.

OR

bad chip??
