Hello, I am trying to flash computer Bios, the update bin files are embedded with EXE files (in order to flash it straigh from the OS) in the manufactureer websites. How can I extract teh Bin from the EXE files.
Or How can I change the EXE to BIN.
thanks.

sometime it is an autoextract compressed file, and you can recover the original BIN uncompressed with winrar.
good luck

That is what I thought. Searching I found two DOS applications that claim that can change EXE to BIN but they did not work.
they are EXE2BIN and Litefirm.

There isnt really a way to do this.

Some EXE's will decompress into windows temp folder or root of the c drive, you can check those locations.

however, most do not do this and the code is embedded in the EXE, the only way to do this is to have a working board to take a dump from and flash to the broken board.
