Posted - 10/20/2010 : 09:35:09 I have probably 40+ of these here and all have been erased and purchased from several different places. Each and every one refuse to burn. They have been verified blank via the programmer using 5.0 and the 5.03 or whatever software the newest one. I get this message: Write failed, Address=0x000000, Buffer=0x78 Device=0xFF
Any idea why this is happening on both programmers? Thanks |

Posted - 07/27/2014 : 14:54:39 Add me to the list of people who cannot write any NEC D27C2001D eproms with the GQ-4X. It really is frustrating and I wish it would be fixed.
No, it's "not the chip", it's the GQ-4X. I can write this type of eprom with other non Willem programmers without issue. I'd like to be able to use my every-day GQ-4X though instead of having to bring these to a friend with a higher-end burner.

Posted - 01/17/2013 : 03:32:47 I am using the latest software. The chips are from different sources so I can't see it being those. It seems like any NEC EPROM does the same thing, it just can't write to them. The progress bar comes up, VPP flickers for a moment and it says the EPROM reads FF.
All other chips I've tried work, just this type doesn't. |

Posted - 01/17/2013 : 00:28:17 Can you try latest software?
This chip is a standard EPROM and is in the list for years. Many user program it.
It may related to the chip or programmer hardware. |

Posted - 01/16/2013 : 04:22:21 Well I tried it and it still won't write them.
Is it possible the algorithm for this chip is broken or it's a special case? |

Posted - 01/14/2013 : 06:43:37 I have the same issue, I have about 20+ here which all refuse to burn. I assume it's due to voltage?
Can I use a 12v 4a power supply with the GQ-4X? It's the closest I have to the 9v 200ma it asks for. |
