Hi,
I have GQ-4X. I can read eproms from instrument clusters but not write with this device. Chips are on the list. Tried and failled with 93x66, L56 (93c56).
Does anyone have any tips? Could this be because some chips have different pinout or packaging, like reversed, rotated, PDIP, TSSOP?
I thought this unit is automatic?

I was reading out of circuit, but in the SOIC8 clip adapter to ziff socket. It has been shiped back for exchange.

Are you doing in circuit read/write with GQ-4X? OR you have desoldered the chip off the board?

I tried with 0 speed, no change
I put same SOIC8 clip in to digimaster II and it was reading and writing no problem.
It's not a contact or speed.

check you pin contact, and try to use slower speed.
