Hello,
I've been using this programmer for a while now with no problems.
But now I get a "USB Device Not Recognized" message every time I plug it in.
It shows up as "Unknown Device" in the device manager
When I go to the device properties it says "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"
When I install the latest drivers it gives me a message saying "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"
I have tried it on 3 or 4 computers, and it does the same thing on each of them, all running Windows 7.

Thanks for the help. Tobias

If your programmer still under warranty, then I suggest you send the programmer bake. Otherwise you can try yourself.

I'm guessing if I attempt to repair the unit myself I would be voiding my warranty?
Should I just return it to MCUmall for repair?

There are posibilities for components near the chip went wrong.

I cleaned the pins and tried a different cable but it didn't fix the problem.
Could the problem be one of the components near the chip?

I think there are some problems with programmer USB chip.

Check if the U1 is clean with no dust on pins. The dirty dust will cause the problem. Also change the USB cable and try. Some bad USB cable will cause the same problem.
