Hello,

GQ-4X rev 1.10
Win 7 x64, USB driver 2.01
Software 6.13
Voltage checks are all OK.

I have a 98% failure rate with writing ST 27C801 eproms... which are the ones I need to program the most. I could burn a few ones successfully but most of the time it fails.

I have tried 2 different computers, with or without external power supply, and writing speeds –1,0,1,2. They all fail during the write, either at the beginning or later. VPP blinking slows down and down, and poof! write error.

I gave 2 of these chips to a friend who has a professionnal programmer, he had no problem so the chips are fine.

I'm a bit stuck.

Thanks.

It seems there is a compatibility issue.
In is case need testing chips to find out why and possible fix in software.
