Long story short is that this chip hold the BIOS to a laptop that was incorrctly flashed with the wrong BIOS.

What I need to do is erase and reflash this chip. The problem is that it's an 8 pin surface mount and soldered onto the mainboard so I'll need to make a "wire rig".

I'm hoping that even though I can't seem to find this chip on the master list that I can still get some life out of it... but to do this I could really use some help with figuring out how I should wire the pins. Should I just go Pin 1 to Pin 1... or will I need to do something odd like Pin 1 to Pin 5 etc?

Thanks for any help on this.
