I upgraded from 6.14 to 6.15 and now my GQ-4X says Initialization failed. Please Reconnect...

Already tried that. It is related to the software because I reinstalled the previous version and it immediately started working again.

This nothing to do the the software version. It could happen on any version. Just try to disconnect and reconnect the programmer.
