Hello I have bought not long ago this programdor.

He does not read me the erpom 93C86.

I connect the progrmador to USB, form it, but the reading is not correct.

With other eprom, perfect.

That can happen.

Thank you

It must be something wrong on programmer since it does not work on all 93CXX EEPROM.
If you got all 0 after reading, then the DIP switch bit 1 is not OFF. If you got all FF then the programmer need to be repaired or service.
Please contact support@mcumall.com in this case.

1. Check if the first DIP switch bit is on OFF position?
This is the configuration that I use:
http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/4430/programadorzm5.jpg

2. Try on a slower speed?
I have proved different speeds, without success

3. Try on both 8bit mode and 16bit mode?
I have proved it, without success.

4. Did you ever read any 93CXX chips other than 93C86? such as 93C46,93C56 etc.
I have tried 93C86, 93C66 and 93C46, without success.

But he reads well the 24Cxx, 29F010, 27F010, 27F020, 27C256, 27512, AM29F400B, etc.

The programmer is new, that I can do, with whom I communicate

Thank you

This chip does not need external power.

Would you please try followings:
1. Check if the first DIP switch bit is on OFF position?
2. Try on a slower speed?
3. Try on both 8bit mode and 16bit mode?
4. Did you ever read any 93CXX chips other than 93C86? such as 93C46,93C56 etc.

If you can not read any of the 93CXX chips, then your programmer may need a service to find out problem.

I have tried with different manufacturers and without positive results.

With another programmer that I have, without problems.
That can happen, perhaps the programmer has to feed externally.
many problems with this programmer.

Thank you

What's your chip's manufacturer?
Did you try on other 93CXX chips?
vincentdali Posted - 03/17/2007 : 03:40:47
I have tried with several 93C86 and without results.
