Is it possible to read/write this atmel 4mb spi chip?

I have the same problem and i find no way to read and write this chip with my gq-3x. I own the adapter ADP-081, but its not very helpful maybe.

Alternatively is there a compatible chip by winbond, mxic, cfeon?
