hello,
I have some issues with my gq-3x programmer, i'm trying to program an m50fw016 tsop40 fwh/lpc but with no avail.
the chip reads fine, I was able to backup the content without problem.
the problem rises when I try to erase the chip or to write on it.
when selecting m50fw016*tsop40 from device list and erase the chip I got all the chip erased except addresses from 0x80000 to 0xFFFFF wich are full of '00' instead of 'FF', erase fail at 0x80000 of course. no change if the speed is modified.
when selecting m50fw080 the result change, this time the zeros are from 0xE0000 to 0xEFFFF, the rest of the chip is erased fine.
vpp and vcc are stable during the test, tested an m50fw040 it worked perfectly. wiring should be fine since I can read all the chips and chips Id's are correct. no change if I connect a 12v adapter to the programmer.
I modified the devices.txt file changing class for m50fw016*tsop40 to INTEL82802AB, the chip erased fine except for addresses from 0xE0000 to 0xEFFFF.
any ideas what the problem could be?

The voltage is fine.

If you can manage to erase the chip completely, then you can try to write it.

hi again,
something strange with the vcc, the chip receives 3.9v at vcc pin while in its datasheet vcc should be between 3v and 3.6v.
in usbprg the chip vcc is set to 5v!!
is that normal?
thanks
