Hello there,
I'm trying to reflash MM29F040E Flash chip (made by Megawin according to the logo), but erase failed.
I'm guessing that it might be protected so when I tried to unprotected as Generic 29F040 or AM29F040B then it said "success", but erasing failed anyway.
Does Megawin needs some special support in the software?
Signature ID is 01A4.

When I read protect status then everything is unprotected so I think that the chip might be bad also, I don't have another one to test. |

Could not find the datasheet of this chip.
If the ID is 01A4, then it should be compatible with AM29F040B.
How about read the protection status? What it says?
Do you have second chip for testing? Some times the chip may be a bad chip. |
