He bought a programmer willem GQ-3X USB adapter with thin 48 16Bits to schedule the flash INTEL TE28F160C3BD70 possessing the cablemodem 4100,4200,5100 Motorola, Thomson 410.320. It is a flash widespread among most cablemodems market.
I can read the flash, i dont know if it is correct but i can not write anithing.
It is different from the flash that comes default on willem schedule, and I tried not served, it seems that this is 32-bit and 16-bit TE28F160C3BD70 is 70ns. Google can be found in the datasheet for the flash in pdf format.
I have followed the manual that came with the CD of instructions for connecting wires with willem USB adapter and I have correctly jumpers to schedule 28Fx00 into the adapter. The jumper 3.6V is open.
Please, please, that the new upgrade program for willem USB flash this comes to be selected and programmed correctly, by default, or in his case, I explain some ways to do this.

==========

Here you can download data from the flash and see the subtle differences between the various Intel flash of this brand, with characteristics that differentiate and datasheet.

What is the exact error message you got?
What did you get when you click on the ID button form software?
Did you erase the chip and did a succefull blank check?
Try to use the programemr without the power adapter.

What is the exact error message you got?

Device write failed at address 0x000000, Buffer=0x3c Device=0x18
Device wriete faliled at address: 0x001000, Buffer=0x00 Device=0x1e

What did you get when you click on the ID button form software?

Device ID Hex: 8988C3
Manufacturer: Intel
Device Type: Not in Library

Did you erase the chip and did a succefull blank check?

When I pulse blanck check button i can see de device is not blank at address: 0x000000, device read 0x3c.
When I pulse erase button, i can select the mode of erase yes o no. I can erase the Flash INTEL TE28F160C3BD70. The procesing erase is ok.
When I pulse read button the flash chip is readed ok.
When I pulse Device Selection/Serach button I select Flash/Eeprom TE28F160C3T
Try to use the programemr without the power adapter.
Never I heve used the power adaptar,i only use USB 5V. everytime.

One look at the voltage and datasheep that I have commanded you will see that the Intel flash TE28F160C3BD70 differs greatly from the flash program TE28F160C3T.
If I hit the button which is next to TE28F160C3T and that puts a i (for information), get the following Details menu:

Name: TE28F160C3T
Class:TE28F160C3T
MFG: INTEL
ID: 8988C2(Hex)
Code Size:2097152 bytes
Data Size:0 bytes
Speed:5
Vcc:5V
Vpp:12V
WriteVcc:5V
BlankVcc:5V
ReadVpp:Not ser or invalid.
Adaptar: TSOP48 16BIT MODE
Message: Set the adtapter to 3.6V jumper position
#: 583

If you open and read the pdf document of Flash INTEL TE28F160C3BD70, that I gave you and you can download from the foro,
You can observe that many of the voltages used here, by default in the program to read, write and delete this flash, it is not the most adequate for the smooth functioning in this type of flash Intel.

It seems the chip not been erased correctly.

The ID you got is correct. This indicated the reading seems working.

The erase process is completed does not means the chip is erased correctly. To check the chip is been erased, you need to do the blank check. Just click on the Blank button, it will tell you if the chip is blank. If the chip is blank, that means the chip is erased correctly. Also, try to put the speed on "-2" when you erasing the chip.

I checked datasheet and found the chip should be able to read/write/erase.

Wen I use blank check buton I can get:
Device is not blank at address: 0x002000, device rad 0x1e

Message Board:
===============
Set the adapter to 3.6V jumper position.
Erasing
Elapsed time: 20.98 seconds.
Erase completed.
Code Blank checking
Elapsed time: 0.65 seconds.
Device is not blank at address: 0x002000, device read 0x1e.
blank failed.
Code Reading
Elapsed time: 70.41 seconds.
Read completed

If empoezo to erase the Flash, does not reach its full 100% stays removing up to 40% and no more clears.
Also ask whether the cables ranging from programmer to willem adapter TSOP48 (16bit), I have successfully connected:

Programmer Adapter Tsop 48 (16bit)
========== =======================
A20........................A20
A19........................A19

I do not know if the connection is correct and if I need to connect some more and where connecting cable.

I do not know if I was wrong to think about whether to buy this developer and not the www.willem.org.

No longer do more with willem.

The chip is not been eased completly. So it will be not be write correctly.

The chip TE28F160C3BD is not in the supported list of current software. However, we can add this chip in as long as we got the sample chip. If you can send us a sample chip, we can find a exact problem and add this chip in the supported list.
Please contact support@mcumall.com for more assistant.

Thanks for the help, I was desperate because I made a big effort to buy the needed because willem repair a cablemodem and I had been impossible.
I will contact the service technician and to send a FLASH INTEL TE28F160C3BD70 so that they can analyze it and to modify the program to include it in the next update of the software programmer willem.
What I find strange, being so used some flash from the decade of the nineties and into this sercicio in moviles, modems, appliances, etc., software programmers willem have not updated the program, so that they can read, write and delete them.
I hope that the PDF acrobat, I hung helpful to know that there are types, frequencies to work, the working voltage, etc..
Thanks.
