ok i need help

i have a icsp on the device that has

v+
mclr
icspclk
icspdat
pgm
gnd

what do i need to connect this to the programmers pins? aka which pins would i need to connect

and this programmer does have voltage control?

Here is the 5pin ICSP header connection:

Vpp <--------> mclr
Vcc <--------> v+
GND <--------> gnd
RB7 <--------> icspdat
RB6 <--------> icspclk

The programmer Vcc only provide a limited power. So, you may need to try to power up the board and do not connect the VCC line. Also, what chip you are trying to program.

There is PGM pin on the JP1 connector. The GQ-3X has no PGM pin on ICSP header. The PGM pin should keep in Low when doing ICSP programming. So, try to connect that pin to GND when programming.

Also, check the voltage on both VCC and VPP see what is the reading.
