this is the chip and some others like the mx29lv160, t28f160

the probles is wen i select the rigth configuration the programer dont recognice the chip

if i select another configuration then the id shows corect!!!

whit the sst39vf160 configuration the chip reads ok butt cant erase or program the chip...
any idea?
PD: also have same problem whit mx29lv160
PD: and the intel chip t28f160 shows id ok and reads ok butt cant erase or program on it!!!!! |

The adapter is not correct. The software for this chip is indicated 8 bit mode adapter. But you used 16 bit mode adapter.
To use 16 bit adapter, plese add following lines into devices.txt
Name="AM29LV160DB(16bit)",ID="012249",Class="SST39VF1601",Category="FLASH",MFG="AMD",Speed="5",Adapter="TSOP48 16 BIT Mode",Message="Set the adapter jumpers to VCC 3.6V and 29FX00 position.";

i just check the correct adapter it shows all the brand tsop i cant program!!!!!

it jumps 3 questions!!
0- i need to buy the adapter?
1-whit the comand lines you gaveme i can program this chips? (intel t28fxx mx29lvxx am29lvxx) 8 bit chips or just the (amd)
2- can i use the usb willem programer to jtag a modem or fta device?
(this one is not important but i just want to ask)

0 - For this particular chip AMD29LV160 you do not need buy another adapter.
1 - Yes. With this adapter line it should be able to work correctly.
2 - No. The USB Willem programmer JTAG currently is for CPLD device only. |

| works flawles on the amd chip butt the macronix, donot shows id, only wen i select the sst39lvxx it shows id |
