Hi guys

I recently bought a Willem programmer PCB5.0 from sivava.com. When I connect it to one of my laptop which is still equipped with a parallel port it is working fine. As software I use WillemEprom or WinPic800. Mainly Im using the thing to program a PIC via ICSP.

On my main laptop there is no parallel port anymore, so I got myself a USB-parallel & serial interface (from Z-Tec). When I hook everything up, the VPP led on the willem board lights up instantly and wont go out. Neither WillemEprom nor WinPic800 is recognizing the programmer. I did a loopback check on the parallel port which worked out fine though. Is there anything I could try to do to make it work?

Thx,
regards
Zak

The parallel willem programmer only works on real parallel port, not the USB-parallel adapter.
