Hi there,

i have a ECS X58B-A2 mainboard thats had a bad BIOS flash, the board has an 8 pin SPI header, i am wandering if the GQ-4X will be able to program the SST25VF080B EEPROM on the board? also ifso.. what cables are required to do so.

thanks in advance.

The GQ-4X supports SST25VF080B EEPROM.

If your motherboard has SPI header, then it should be able to re-program it on board.

If you have jumper wires, then you may directly connect the motherboard SPI header to the programmer ZIF socket.

OR you can use following items:

2. http://www.mcumall.com/comersus/store/comersus_viewItem.asp?idProduct=4366
3. (optional)http://www.mcumall.com/comersus/store/comersus_viewItem.asp?idProduct=4310

Programmer arrived today!! and the boards living once again.. the Programmer is Worth Every penny!!

BTW the EEPROM i had on the board was SST25VF016B.. little hard to see as the "16" was half scratched off.
