Try to reconnect the programmer and restart the software.

Check the chip pins contacting with PLCC adapter.

Did install software on another computer and looks like chip sitting in the socket straight, should be connected.
Cannot be same problem with different adapters.

Thanks.

In 30 min, then unit was working, I was able to save data from M27C1001 to a file, now I compare that data with present reading and looks like Q7
always in "1", like suppose to be 00 it's 80 etc. Pretty sure problem is inside the box..

Thanks

You can confirm this by read a empty socket with a wire short the ZIF pin 20(GND) and pin 25 (Q7). You should read the empty ZIF data to be all 7F in buffer.

you can open he programmer box and re-install the ZIF module and see if it makes different. If it still does not work, then write to support@mcumall.com for the warranty RMA. You need to send it back for a checking in this case.

OK. I put inside the socket piece of cardboard and chip now close to the top of the socket. I can ID chip, can read it but unable to write data to the chip. Use PLCC32 to DIP28 adapter and AM27c256.

Did you erase the chip? The chip need to pass the blank check before write any data.
