I have been using my GQ-3X on Windows 7 without problem but I have just gone to use it on another pc with Windows XP. Any device I select comes up with device not supported and that it needs a firmware/software update.

I am already running the latest GQUSBprg 6.00 with GQ USB Driver 2.01. In Windows 7 I am using GQUSBprg 5.01 is it worth downgrading on the XP machine?.

I guess your programmer firmware is too old, Re1.00. There are some inconsistent issues with that firmware version.

GQ-3X firmware upgrade have to be retuned for upgrading.
