I’m currently trying to program w25x32vs using the GQ-4X programmer.
Very occasionally it will manage to erase and write and verify, about 1 out of 50 are good. The rest of the time it will:
Not erase correctly, it reaches 50% then says its been a success. No matter what speed I set it to.
Either not write at all, the progress bar just stays at 0%, or it will set on any random %age.
It will say it writes but not verify as the ic is blank.
Sometimes not recognise the ic, even if its an ic that has already been read by it
All other eeproms I’ve tried work perfectly. Its only the w25x32vs I have problems with. I’ve tried different ic suppliers, cables, pc’s, programmers and cradles. No matter what it will only program when it feels like it.
Can anyone help or as any ideas? Please

Thank you

Having looked on other forums, it would seem this is a common "symptom" with these programmers. its been over a week since I contacted support with no reply.

Possibly an external psu? Does anyone know if this will help?

thank you
