GQ-4X supports 29F400 PSOP44 package with ADP-019.
Set the adapter to 5V jumper position means set the adapter jumper to 5V position. There is a jumper on adapter for 3V or 5V. Set this jumper on the 5V position. |

Your adapter is PSOP44 to DIP44. GQ-4X needs ADP-019 PSOP44 to DIP32. |

It is OK to display MBM29F400B instead of MBM29F400BC. The MBM29F400BC is a sub-version of MBM29F400B.
If you really want to see MBM29F400BC, then add a new chip called MBM29F400BC |
