This chip is supported. Make sure followings:

1. your chip is a good chip.
2. your chip is placed in the adapter ZIF socker at correct direction. Pin 1 is face top left.
3. make sure your chip pins are all contacting good with adapter ZIF socket.
4. make sure your adapter pins are all contacting good with programmer ZIF.
5. make sure you have placed your adapter correctly in programmer ZIF socket.
6. check adapter jumpers are on correct position: 5V, 28Fxx.

The ID should at least read some data other than blank FFFF.

thank you for reply. I tried this standard procedure thousand times and can not write this chip. Before remove chip from ecu I could communicate with ecu, that mean chip is good. I removed chip from good ecu and tried copy flash and write to an other ecu. I can read but I cannot write. Chip from good ecu shows id 48DD and ecu what I want to reprogramm shows id FFFF. On both same error when tried read id "unknow device not in library". I don't want to try write on good one because probably I can loose an other chip and ecu will be garbage

You nmeed to erse the chip and do blank check before write data.

I think you need another good chip for the writting testing.

How do you know the reading is good? If you can not ID correctly, then there are high chances to get wrong reading.

If you are sure the reading is 100% correct, then try slower speed to erase/write the chip.

I tried to follow your instruction and now I have two ecu's not working and now both chips are id FFFF . Programmer cannot recognize device and is impossible to write. I read and write everything else but not this chip. I tried to read and write 29f800bb and is working. What you want tell me? I'm sorry? now I have to pay for an other ecu and have to find real programmer
